Last night the winter sky..

Sparkled .. like a glass..

Filled with champagne..

Each star appeared drunk..

Moon was absent...

Not a trace of it there...

I watched on !

Night deepened like my heart..

From midnight to past it...

Time ticked away..

In my wrist...

I could not think..

Neither of me... nor of you..

All memories haphazard ..

Suddenly one star fell ...

I know not where...

I wished on it...

Then, like a child..

Playing hide and seek..

I came to  get a peep..

Had gone to see you...!

Tip-toed I walked..

Scared the world may ..

Be disturbed in its slumber...

I went to see you.. !

Yes.. I did see..

A awakened me..

Within the lids..

Of your closed eye !

How will I walk down..

Days come in, days go away..
With a day, goes volume of time..
And a tint of fading sepia I become..
Washed away from all colours prime !
