আজো প্রেম

বৃষ্টি আজো চিঠি লিখে 

তৃষার্ত এই মাটিকে 

মেঘ আজো প্রেম করে 

আকাশের ওই ঘাটিতে 

ফুলের বুকে আজ ভ্রমর 

গুনগুন সুরে গায় 

ঘাসের মাঝে ঝরা পাতা 

আজো লুটোপুটি যায় 

ঘুমের যখন ক্লান্তি আসে 

আমার চোখে নামে 

তোমার কথা মনে হলে 

লজ্জা অষ্ট চুমে 

পথের বাঁকে দাড়িয়ে ওরা 

আজো প্রেম করে 

আজো আমি  হাড়িয়ে যাই 

তোমার স্মৃতির ভীড়ে 

আজো ঠিক তেমনি আছে 

আমার রাতের আকাশ'

শুধু একটু যেন ধূসর লাগে 

নিশীথের ওই চাঁদ 

তুমি আছো , আমি আছি 

আছে আজো প্রেম 

শুধু নেই সেই দিনগুলো 

যা পেছনে ফেলে এলেম 

আবার যদি দেখা হয় 

নিভৃতে কোনো দিন 

চোখ বুজে আবার দেখব 

স্বপ্ন রঙ্গিন, স্বপ্ন অন্তহীন

Forsaken Love

That excruciating pain

Deep within the soul

Buried beneath the

Rubble of blur memories

Almost strangulating

The leftover of me

I cannot bear, 

Bear anymore

The burden of 

Ever-expanding distance

Where two parched souls

Live together in separation.

Each evening ushers

A tornado in my heart

Each night slides 

An avalanche ..

Yet the eternal wait

Which blooms within

Like the fragrant

Jasmines ... buds open

Then I sit to compose

Another poem

Touched by your hands

Words stolen from your soul..

Oh ! What would I pen

What would I have written

If you had not given..

Some love, forsaken !

জীবন গান

ঠিক যেন ভরাও নয় 

আবার ঠিক নয় শুন্য ,

পূর্ণ রিক্তের মাঝামাঝি 

হৃদয় আমার অনন্য । 

কোথাও কিছু খুঁজে পাওয়া 

কিছু কোথাও  হারিয়ে ফেলা ,

পাওয়া খোয়ার মাঝামাঝি 

নিশব্ধে, একা পথ চলা । 

একাও নয় যেন একদম 

সাথেও যেন নেই কেউ ,

নিঃসঙ্গতার পিঠে চড়ে 

খেলছে জীবন ঢেউ । 

ভালো সে বাসেনা এমন নয় 

ভালবাসে, তাও যেন বুঝিনে, 

বোঝাবুঝির আড়ালে দাড়িয়ে 

এলোমেলো সন্ধ্যে আর আমি গুছাইনে । 

চলছে জীবন নিজের দায়ে 

হাসছে মরণ পাছে ,

বলছে যেন যতই পালা 

শেষে আসবি বৈকি আমার কাছে ।

Closely Apart

Have you seen the night sky lately?

Did you notice it with all your keen ?

Did you wonder for a while and smiled..

In those stars I too might have been...

Did you float on those dissolved clouds

And gasp at the beauty of the moon

Did you command the galaxy to wait for us

As you shall return with me soon...

Have you raised your glass of wine

And cheered those constellations ?

Once did you fly a kiss in the air

Sending me my love's remuneration ?

Softly did you raise your lofty feet

And walk up to the attic glass

Thinking that I might be still awake

Even when the midnight is well-past..

Did you pour another drink..

After a glance at your ticking clock..

Did you for once lift that device ..

In order to type or to have a talk ?

Far away beneath the dark sky

Somewhere when angels sleep

I tiptoed to have a glance

Thinking you might me in slumber deep..

Alas ! Did I find all my questions alive..

Throbbing in your awaken heart..

Hardly did I know, when I asked..

We are still now, so very closely apart !

Like the rock

That keeps the fossil

I kept you.

Like the shell

That hides the pearl

I hid you.

Like the sand

That soaks the rain

I soaked you.

Like the flower

That hearts the pollen

I heart you.

Like the sky

That retains the galaxy

I retained you.

Like the spring

That stores the bloom

I stored you.

Like the cloud

That holds the rain

I held you.

Like the first dew

That love the petal

I loved you.

Deep within 

Soul's casket

I hoarded you.

My treasure

My hidden love

I preserved you.

Rain Picture

Symphony of falling rain

On the break of a new dawn
A prelude to the monsoon love
Hugs my soul, when you are gone

The sea is drenched today

Wet is the life's shore

No sun peeps from the east

And, heart longs you no more

Waves that rise and fall

And greet its visitors with a smile

Touches the ebb, goes back

As if to rest for a while

Anchored boat enjoys rain

All its fatigue washed away

As it waits the storm to pass

And I sit alone, on my bay !

Linger On

When your absence fills the air

And my senses soak in silence

I sit alone , to feel you all over

Oh sweet is my tender reminisce

That I have loved you always

With all the little I possessed

My passion , my longings

And with all that I am obsessed

I loved you in my senses full

Loved you more when am out of it

My love mingles in your veins

And flows to your heart petite

In silence one, and in words many

I loved you at your best and worst

I did love you in my solitude

And in a crowd I kept you, never lost

I loved you as if you are one

I did not seek other or any

Like the sky that love the moon

Among the stars that are many

Tarnished lies my fragile soul

And time, smiles from far

I have lost and found myself

Inside you, and its you who in me linger
